Job Responsibilities:
- Carrying out maintenance, service and repair of all mechanical equipment ( Diesel Engines, pumps, gearboxes, couplings, alternators, turbochargers, etc ) on board all vessels as assigned by Workshop Manager.
- Troubleshooting all the Mechanical equipment on board vessels.
- Planning and executing the repair job in the most cost effective method.
- Ensure adequate maintenance of tools, equipment and cleanliness in the workshop.
- Attending to vessels Dry-dock as assigned by workshop Manager.
- Carrying out any Retrofit job for new equipment installation on board vessels.
- Occasionally required to drive a company vehicle to customer locations.
- Any other duties as assigned by workshop manager and Management.
Job Requirements:
We are looking for a person with Integrity, Commitment and Competency.
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering / Marine Engineering / COC class III (Engine) from a recognized institution with 5 or more years of experiences in relevant engineering.
- Able to read drawings and write service reports using PC or tablet.
- A Hands-on person who like to work on site, on ship and in workshop.
- Willing to sail on board vessels as riding Mechanical Engineer when required
- Willing to travel overseas when assigned.
- Good working attitude and team player.
- Able to work under pressure and tight schedule.
- Good Experience working on high speed and medium speed diesel engine such as Cummins, Daihatsu, Hanshin, Akasaka, Caterpillar, Yanmar and others.
- Added advantage if possess class 3 valid driving license.
- Singaporeans only.
