Job Summary:
- As the Technical Lead for Rail Communication Systems, you will guide the migration from existing Radio, Access Management Control Systems (AMS), and Communication Backbone Network (CBN) to advanced solutions. Your role is crucial in ensuring a smooth transition, minimizing disruptions, and maintaining system performance throughout the migration process.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute migration plans for Radio, AMS, and CBN systems, ensuring minimal service disruption and operational continuity.
- Design migration paths and oversee their implementation, coordinating with IT, network specialists, and stakeholders to align with project goals.
- Create detailed migration schedules, resource plans, and risk assessments.
- Manage system configuration, testing, and commissioning while phasing out legacy systems.
- Provide expert troubleshooting and guidance during migration to resolve technical issues and ensure system compatibility.
- Conduct progress reviews, address issues promptly, and adjust strategies as needed.
- Ensure adherence to industry standards and best practices.
- Lead, mentor, and support engineering teams, promoting technical excellence and knowledge transfer.
- Stay informed on advancements in communication technology to enhance migration strategies and system capabilities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical or Communications Engineering or related field.
- At least 8-10 years of experience in system migrations, particularly in Radio, AMS, and CBN systems within large-scale projects.
- Proven success in system migration in transportation or similar sectors.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing technical teams through complex migrations.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities under pressure.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for managing stakeholders and leading teams.
- Understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements for rail communication systems.
- Professional engineering certification preferred.
