Procurement Manager

We are seeking an experienced self starter Procurement Manager to oversee global procurement operations. The candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring the efficient acquisition of goods and services to support our business objectives.


What You’re Responsible For


Develop and Implement Procurement Strategies:

  • Design and implement effective procurement strategies to ensure cost-efficiency, quality, and timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Responsible for working with the respective business unit owner to consolidate sourcing requirements and identify potential suppliers who can meet the requirements.
  • Conduct suppliers research, thorough supplier evaluation and qualify suppliers who can meet our product standards and business needs.
  • Provide regular updates on market trends, suppliers intelligence and risk & mitigation factors to senior management team

Supplier Management:

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and negotiate favourable terms and conditions.
  • Evaluate supplier performance based on key metrics such as quality, delivery, and cost.
  • Resolve any supplier-related issues and disputes promptly and effectively.
  • Working closely with suppliers to manage products EOL and continuity of supply

Contract Management:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with suppliers to ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Monitor contract performance and ensure adherence to agreed terms and conditions.

Cost Management:

  • Analyse annual spending and develop strategies to optimize costs without compromising quality.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement cost-reduction initiatives.

Risk Management:

  • Identify and mitigate procurement-related risks, including supply chain disruptions and market volatility.
  • Develop contingency plans to address potential risks.
  • Coordinate with the supply chain and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of goods to meet project timeline.

Compliance and Reporting:

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements.
  • Prepare and present regular procurement reports to senior management.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead and mentor the procurement team, providing guidance and set clear KPI to achieve departmental goals.
  • Foster a collaborative and performance-driven work environment with the rest of the stakeholders and leaders in the organizations.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven track record in acquisition of goods and services to support new business venture and/or startup in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) or equivalent industry.
  • Strong acumen in sourcing, supplier management, and contract negotiation.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Comfortable to work in an ambiguous environment, resourceful and independent to source for new commodity, products and services in field that nobody in organization has done before.
  • Proficient in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong command of Mandarin both in writing and conversation.

Qualifications/Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • A Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CIPS) is a plus.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in procurement and sourcing with at least 5 years in the FMCG / consumer brands sector. The candidate needs to have people management experience.

Special Requirements

  • Ability to travel frequently sourcing trips including trade events and to evaluate & qualify suppliers.
  • Ability to work flexible hours to meet the demands of global role.
