BIM MODELLER JOB DESCRIPTION:
· Ensuring that all materials used and work performed are as per specifications, creating and maintaining 3D models using BIM software;
· Proposal and preparation of material samples;
· Overseeing the selection and requisition of materials and plant;
· Proposing cost-effective solutions for the intended project;
· Acting as the main technical adviser on a construction site for subcontractors, manpower and operatives
· Prepare, Sketch and produce Autocad / BIM site drawings to achieve approval from clients;
· Surveying the site to assist in the drawings and production of setting out & levelling for installation purposes;
· Checking plans, drawings and quantities for accuracy of calculations;
· Managing, monitoring and interpreting the contract design documents supplied by the client or architect;
· Liaising with any consultants, PE Engineers subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors and the general workforce involved in the project for necessary submissions;
· Liaising with the local authority (where appropriate to the project) to ensure compliance with local construction regulations and by-laws;
· Liaising with clients and their representatives (architects, engineers and surveyors), including attending regular meetings to keep them informed of progress;
· Day-to-day management of the site, including supervising and monitoring the site labour force and the work of any subcontractors;
· Produce site cutting lists for procurement and fabrication purposes;
· Finalize as built drawings with quantity surveyors for final claim purposes;
· Preparing reports as required
· Resolving any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise.
Requirement:
Preference with MRT experience
