- Supervise the work of technicians and engineers; provide guidance to ensure that work is completed efficiently.
- Overseeing the maintenance, repair, and servicing of machinery and equipment. To ensure all machinery is functioning correctly.
- Inspecting completed work and implementing quality assurance processes to ensure that all work meets the company’s quality standards and complies with relevant regulations and safety standards.
- Managing stock levels, keeping track of parts and materials needed for repairs and maintenance to ensure that the workshop has the necessary resources.
- To handle customer enquiries and issues related to machinery service and repairs, understand the customer’s needs to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Identify the areas for improvement in workshop operations and implement changes to enhance efficiency, productivity, and safety.
- Keeping track of the task completed and the amount of inventory used. Providing updates to stakeholders and management.
- Be able to swiftly and comprehensively fault-find, rectify problems on mechanical equipment including sewage pumps and valves and associated pipe work, air blowers, wastewater inlet screens, storm water screens, biological filter equipment, tanks, tank bridges, conveyor systems & fabrication structures
- Removingfor repair and replacing by new/refurbished valves and actuators
- X-tree valves& actuators repairing
- Take the lead with safe working practices to ensure superior levels of safety and housekeeping are obtained - achieve zero lost time injuries in workshop
- Supervise personnel, while working hands on to execute assigned work to required standards
- Ensure standard work practices and procedures are followed
- Attend safety meetings and carry out Safety Observations
- Assist in the control of consumable and tooling usage to minimise wastage
- Assist in the review of daily timesheets from shop floor personnel on a daily basis
- Ensure Corporate Engineering Standards are met
