Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Payroll Processing: Managing the end-to-end payroll processes, including calculating wages, salaries, NS claims and deductions accurately and on time.
  2. Compliance: Ensuring compliance with relevant statutory regulations, funds payments/deductions and submission, such as tax laws, labor laws, and employment standards and policies.
  3. Tax Filings: Preparing and filing payroll tax returns, including annual filings.
  4. Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate payroll records, including timesheets, attendance, and payroll data.
  5. Reporting: Preparing payroll reports for management and finance teams, including summaries of payroll costs and tax liabilities.
  6. Handling Inquiries: Addressing payroll-related inquiries from employees, such as deductions, pay discrepancies, and resolving issues promptly.
  7. Audits and Reconciliation: Assisting with internal and external payroll audits, and ensuring proper reconciliation of payroll accounts with financial records.
  8. System Management: Managing payroll software systems, ensuring they are up-to-date and function properly.
  9. Confidentiality: Safeguarding sensitive employee information and maintaining data confidentiality.
  10. Benefits Administration : Coordinating employee benefits such as Medical benefits insurance, i.e Group Term Life and Group Hospital & Surgical Claim, WICA, and renewal of vehicle insurance.
  11. Process Improvement: Identifying opportunities to streamline payroll processes and improved efficiency.
  12. Process and validate payroll information pertaining to new joiners, leavers, casuals etc. including calculation, payment, and settlement of wage-related fees according to local legislation and company policies.
  13. Manage office administration such as pantry supplies, stationery.

Job Requirements:

  • Possess at least a Diploma in HR or Certified Payroll Professional Cert or equivalent with at least 3 years of hands-on in payroll processing.
  • Good knowledge of statutory compliance (e.g Employment, CPF and Income Tax Act..)
  • Payroll Software Proficiency, familiarity with Infotech payroll systems preferred
  • Understanding of general accounting principles and practices
  • Proficient in MS Office, Strong skills in Excel Spreadsheets, formulas and data analysis
  • Capability to resolve payroll discrepancies and address complex issues
  • Meticulous with analytical mind, well-organised, independent, matured individual and team player
  • Good communication, interpersonal skills and customer-service oriented
  • High integrity, positive working attitude and reliability
  • Strong sense of urgency and work commitment especially during payroll processing periods
  • Able to commence work immediately or within short notice will be an added advantage.
