Morgan McKinley is seeking an Accountant for a 12 month contract assignment with a possibility to extend or to go perm!
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead finance transformation projects, including system migration and process improvements
- Manage month-end closing processes, including balance sheet reconciliations and management accounts
- Prepare reports for regulators and local authorities, including IRAS, MAS, and SGX
- Stay up-to-date on financial and regulatory developments and lead the implementation of changes to reporting requirements
- Collaborate with stakeholders to address finance-related queries and requests
- Assist in business-as-usual activities and other ad-hoc matters
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CA, CPA, or ACCA qualification
- 8-10 years of relevant experience in the banking or financial services sector in a similar role
- Experience with Big 4 accounting firms is a plus
- Strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), Goods and Services Taxes (GST), corporate income tax, and transfer pricing
- Familiarity with Exchange and MAS rules is advantageous
- Proven experience in dealing with regulators and senior management
