Job description:
- Develop and review mechanical design plans, specifications, and construction documents for the project.
- Provide technical guidance and oversight to the mechanical design team, ensuring that mechanical systems are designed and installed according to project standards and codes.
- Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that mechanical systems are intergrated correctly into the building design.
- Review drawings, submittals, and RFIs related to mechanical systems and equipment and provide timely feedback to the design team.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure that mechanical systems are installed correctly and according to the design plans and specifications.
- Ensure quality, sound and efficient engineering design service being reflected in project deliverable.
- Identify and meet effectively the requirements and expectations of clients.
- Manage the commissioning and start-up of mechanical systems and equipment, including testing and troubleshooting.
- Provide technical support to the construction team, including addressing technical issues, resolving conflicts, and managing change orders related to mechanical systems.
- Keep up to date with industry trends, codes, and standards related to mechanical systems and equipment.
Job requirement:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field is required.
- At least 8 years of experience in mechanical engineering, wih a focus on construction porjects.
- Relevant experience in mechanical building services engineering design, including specifications writing and calculations.
- In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and other related systems.
- Strong technical skills, including proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software and other relevant tools.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Make reference to regulations, industry standards and good practice in engineering design.
