About the company / school :

We are a fast-growing fully funded start-up in the education industry. We are launching an innovative international school in Singapore that offers a world-class education focusing on global citizenship and academic excellence. We are founded by a Forbes Top 30 under 30 entrepreneur and a group of top U.S. educational experts.



Job Overview :

As a Director of Operations and Facilities you will be responsible for all work related to the physical opening of an international K12 school in Singapore. Your responsibilities include securing premises suitable for school operations, applying for regulatory approvals for Change of Use, assisting in planning, designing and renovating of selected premises, procuring various school supplies and maintaining proper school registrations.



Key Responsibilities :

  • · Evaluate sites for the purpose of determining long-term efficacy for a school.
  • · Work with the Executive Team, architects and contractors in the planning and designing of facilities.
  • · Coordinate and oversee the work of architects and contractors; provide on-site support.
  • · Estimate and budget costs of construction and renovations.
  • · In the pre-opening phase of a school, in coordination with the Executive Team, build out the necessary business and operations teams that will support the business operations of each school.
  • · Ensure compliance with regulations including health and safety and lead the school in the development of exemplary practices and risk mitigation.
  • · Procurement of various school supplies
  • · Applying for regulatory approvals for Change of Use which will allow the occupancy of a school operation


Experiences :

  • · Prior experience in opening a school in Singapore is a must.
  • · Prior experience with facilities management.
  • · A background in a technical field that relates to construction management.
  • · Business Development would be a plus.
  • · Strong interpersonal, communication, and ability to interact effectively at all levels within the company.
  • · Outstanding organizational and time-management abilities.
  • · Ability to speak Chinese/Mandarin is an advantage.
