RESPONSIBILITIES
Join us in this role as an individual contributor and become a vital part of our Strategy & Policy team. The Assistant Manager/Manager, Strategy & Policy, plays a key role in supporting the planning function of the team. Responsibilities cover supporting 1) corporate planning, which includes workplan reviews and KPI tracking/reporting 2) corporate secretariat, which includes key partner and Board meetings 3) corporate governance, which includes compliance and risk management 4) public sector partnerships, which includes stakeholder management. We are looking for candidates who are motivated by their dedication to the sector and who are driven to help NVPC make a difference on a national scale in the giving space.
Corporate Planning
- Collaborate with teams to establish, monitor, and assess progress toward NVPC's strategic goals.
- Support cross-functional business process re-engineering to drive continuous improvement.
- Assist cross-functional teams in project prioritisation efforts.
- Support quarterly dashboard and Balanced Scorecard reporting, as well as semi-annual and annual strategy reviews.
- Support in the identification of organisational problems and primary objectives for new projects, validate key business requirements, and interpret data and its implications.
- Act as the point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, effectively communicating organisational strategies and initiatives.
Corporate Secretariat
- Support the management of key meetings with partners including agenda-setting, writing of minutes, and coordinating follow-ups.
- Support the organization and preparation for board meetings, board resolutions, meeting minutes; etc
Corporate Governance
- Support the tracking and submission of compliance requirements for charities and companies
Public Sector Partnerships
- Support the preparation of stakeholder engagements, including materials, event coordination, and tracking of follow-ups
- At least 1 to 3 years' experience in project management and business process improvement
- Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Business Management
- Strong prioritisation, planning, and analytical skills
- Exceptional strategic thinking, business acumen and interpersonal skills
- Ability to demonstrate executive presence with C-level partners
- Ability to work independently as well as with teams
- High functioning organisational skills and ability to prioritise multiple demands
- Self-starter/entrepreneurial spirit
- Understanding of business analysis and business requirements gathering discipline preferred
