Key Job Accountabilities:
- Be an important member of an engineering project team responsible for the structural integrity substantiation/certification for the project
- Perform structural static / dynamic analyses using either Finite Element or classical methods to assess structural integrity
- Interact closely with engineers from other disciplines to achieve an optimised design within the stipulated project schedule
- Plan structural test(s) and be on-site during project testing phases to advise the test team and test director on the relevant structural aspects for the test article when necessary
- Deliver presentations to the customers regarding relevant structural aspects and test results of the project to conclude structural integrity of the designs/modifications performed
- Required also to be a member of the Structural Mechanics Group responsible for the development and improvement of structural capabilities and skills within the organization.
Required Experience and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical / Aerospace Engineering
- Strong analytical skills with sound knowledge of structural mechanics or equivalent
- Possess strong foundation in the area of load / stress analysis with abilities to formulate "free body diagrams" and identify load path of structures
- Experience with the use of both Finite Element and classical methods to perform structural load / stress analysis for primary airframe structures is preferred
- Practical experience in supporting airframe modification projects through prototyping phase and serial production will be added advantage
- Ability to use Solidworks or similar CAD tool to view drawings will be an added advantage.
- Experience on composite structural / dynamic analysis will be an added advantage
- Conversant in MS Office using Excel and VBA will be added advantage
- Must be a self-motivated team player who is able to work independently
