Metta Welfare Association (Metta)
Founded in 1992 by Venerable Chao Khun Fa Zhao BBM and registered as a society in 1994, Metta Welfare Association (Metta) is endorsed by MSF, MOH, and MOE. We are members of NCSS, Singapore Hospice Council, and Singapore Disability Sports Council. Metta is recognized for excellence with the Singapore Quality Class (SQC) certification (2018) and the Charity Transparency Awards (CTA) (2019).
Our Social Service Programmes
Metta provides a wide range of social service programmes, including:
- Children Care: Early intervention for young children with learning difficulties.
- Disability Care:Residential and day care for adults with intellectual disabilities.
- Medical Care: Day rehab, home nursing, medical care for chronic and terminal illnesses.
- Special Education: Vocational training for children with mild intellectual disability/autism.
- Youth Employment Support: Vocational training and supported employment for youth with mild intellectual disability/autism.
Job Title: Finance Executive
Key Responsibilities:
1. Finance Responsibilities
- Maintain Fixed Assets register
- Fixed assets physical count and tagging together with senior finance executive
- Verify proper authorization for disposal and movement – Form K
- Preparation of resolution and updating the bank of cheque signatories and all other bank-related matters
- Prepare cashflow projection for HQ and all Centres
- Calculate Depreciation and data entry into FO on a monthly basis
- Opening of bank accounts
- Bank Reconciliaiton for HQ and all centres
- Checking fixed deposits rates with various banks
- Prepare letters and arrange for approval for fixed deposits(FD) placement, update proposal for FD placement
- Data entry into FO for DC’s FD interest, subvention provision etc
- Update FD Schedule
- Arrange for intercompany settlement and funds transfer to HQ
- Cash counting (adhoc)
2. Other Responsibilities
- To assist in fundraising events as and when assigned
- To undertake any other duties as and when assigned
Job Requirements:
- Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant working experience in a finance-related role.
- Minimum Cert/ Diploma/ Degree in Finance or equivalent
- Ability to work both independently and within a multi-disciplinary team.
- Maintain high level of professionalism, consistency and discipline in completion of tasks and time management
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Hardworking, meticulous and responsible
