JOB SUMMARY: The Senior Executive’s main role is to support the department head and/or supervisor, contribute to the area of community engagement and the Company’s aspirations to enable diverse communities to be impacted deeply and meaningfully by music and be recognized as partner and leader in music ecosystem and source of national pride.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Programming
- Assist/lead in programming and support in operations in projects as assigned.
- Assist the Department/Company with special projects as assigned.
- Research and source for potential community, educational and family repertoire/programmes
Production and Logistics
- Liaise with colleagues and external parties – venue providers, suppliers, conductors, artistes, schools, orchestra management and speakers.
- Manage the booking of venues for concerts and events.
- Negotiate terms such as fees, travel and accommodation with artistes.
- Prepare contracts for artistes, partners, and vendors
- Conduct briefings and training for project helpers and volunteers.
- Brief stage manager, front-of-house and production crew on concert sequence to ensure cues are executed on time.
Outreach Relationships and Communications
- Build and maintain relationships with communities, venue partners and vendors.
Marketing and Administrative Support
- Prepare project briefs, reports and budgets; contracts, and process invoices and claims
- Provide feedback on marketing collateral design and layouts, and proof-read programme materials
- Coordinate Marketing with artiste on any phone, in-person or magazine interviews.
- Update the company calendar with the department’s programmes
- Handle public enquiries on Community Engagement matters.
REQUIREMENTS
- Degree holder with 3-4 years of relevant working experience.
- Executive position may be considered for candidate with lesser experience, at a suitable remuneration level.
- Flexibility to work nights and weekends when needed
- Effective oral/written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; quick to adjust and adapt to technology
- Resilient individual with positive energy and exceptional organization and planning skills
- Applicants must enjoy working and be able to communicate with a wide range of age groups
- Team player and flexible in working well with different personalities
- Experience and ability to read music, with an interest in classical music is a plus.
