This advertisement is for the recruiting position of Receptionist cum Admin Assistant.
If successfully selected, you will be seconded to MOE primary school located in Lorong Chuan.
Contract Period: From 01 December 2024 to 30 Nov 2025 (services not required on 1 Dec 2024 to 22 Dec 2024 & 31 May 2025 to 22 June 2025).
Option to Extend: for a further period of 1 year from 1 Dec 2025 to 30 Nov 2026 (Services not required on 1 Dec 2025 to 21 Dec 2025 & 1 June 2026 to 21 June 2026)
Personnel to be deployed at the following hours:
- Mondays to Thursdays: 8:30am to 5:30pm, inclusive of 0.5 hr meal break.
- Fridays: 9:00am to 5:30pm, inclusive of 0.5hr lunch break
- Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays.
The Personnel shall be competent to perform the following:
- Providing support and assisting general administration in the General Office.
- Supporting printing needs of school (e.g. worksheets and documents) when required and ensuring materials are efficiently produced.
- Assisting in maintenance of printing equipment (printers, copiers), including monitoring, and managing of ink, toner, paper supplies to ensure uninterrupted printing.
- Answering the phone calls in a timely manner, including screening and directing calls to the appropriate colleagues. This include taking and relaying of messages where necessary.
- Dealing with enquiries by parents, members of public and other stakeholders.
- Assisting in office administration matters and clerical work, including receiving, sorting and distributing daily mail/deliveries/posts/couriers, maintaining a log book.
- Attending to sick/injured students and contacting caregivers (if required), ensuring that all accidents / injuries are appropriately recorded / reported.
- Upkeeping office general conditions, including tidying and maintaining the reception area in the General Office.
Officer may be deployed to the General Office as receptionist.
Officer will report to the Administration Managers.
There is no overtime pay.
The Personnel shall minimally have the following qualifications, skills and experience:
Qualification
- O Level certification and equivalent with good communication, and customer service skills.
Other Requirements
- Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and duties.
- Knowledge of computers and relevant software applications including Microsoft Excel, Word etc.
- Knowledge of customer service principles and practices. Preferably 3 years of relevant experience in reception and administration in a school environment • Meticulous and independent.
