PURPOSE
This position will report to Senior Manager, BiTS and responsible for leading IBM AS400 system development project.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, develop, test and maintain applications and programs on the AS400 platform using languages such as RPG (Report Program Generator), CL (Control Language), and SQL.
- Enhance and debug existing applications to meet new requirements or to fix issues.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for applications running on the AS400 system.
- Implement updates, patches, and upgrades to ensure system stability and performance.
- Integration AS400 applications with other systems or platforms as required.
- Develop and maintain interfaces between the AS400 and external systems.
- Generate and maintain reports based on business requirements or needs.
- Work with other developers, analysts, and business users to gather requirements and delivery solutions.
- Participate in project planning and ensure that development aligns with business objectives.
- Ensure that applications and data adhere to security protocols and regulatory requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science
- Minimum 5 years work-related experience
- Proficiency in RPG, CLP and SQL
- Experience with DB2
- Experience with EDI mapping (preferably OpenText)
- Familiarity with development tools and environments used on the AS400 platform
