The Role
The cook is part of the staff team and reports to the Facility Officer and Admin. The cook is someone who agrees with DTC’s Christian ethos and wants to use his/her gifts to serve DTC community by providing healthy and nutritious meals and see his/her role as part of DTC’s ministry for God’s glory. We are looking for a full-time cook who works five days a week on weekdays (no weekends or public holidays) but we are open to discuss part-time and flexible working arrangements with this role.
Main Areas of Work
● Prepare lunch, tea break and dinner
● Keep stock and submit orders for food, provisions and kitchen supplies to the Admin/Facility Officer who will make the orders
● Maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen (washing up after meals will be done by students and staff)
● Wash and dry tea towels
● Perform work assignments as directed by the supervisor
Required Knowledge and Skill Set
● Preferably a Minimum of 2 Years of Experience.
● Minimum Qualification Level: Preferably with Primary Education.
● Has the necessary cooking skills
● Able to work efficiently and effectively
● Takes initiative
● Is a team player
● Has good people skills
● Appreciates the privileges and challenges of working with people of different nationalities and cultures.
Salary is negotiable.
