Your Mission
HMGICS serves as our core manufacturing testbed, focused on creating a cutting-edge, software-defined factory for autonomous and flexible production of future mobility solutions. Within the Technology Innovation Group, the Software & Data Engineering Team develops intelligent systems and environments (IoT, MLOps, Visualization, and Simulations) to enhance productivity, quality, logistics, and manufacturing. This position requires expertise in deploying real-world applications at scale. You will design and review architectures for various use cases, establish our general environment, and implement chosen architectures using the most appropriate technologies.
What To Expect
- Understand and evaluate requirements for at-scale deployment of digital, AI, and simulation projects.
- Design and architect solutions leveraging IoT (Thingworx/Kepware), on-premise/public cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP), AI, Data Science, MLOps & LLMOps, and Simulation (Nvidia Omniverse).
- Identify the required skill sets, manpower, and timeline for successful system implementation.
- Oversee development and ensure ongoing system maintenance.
- Provide technical leadership, acting as a liaison between Digital Transformation members and Data/IoT engineers.
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in system architecture and system development; for a senior position, a minimum of 13 years would be beneficial.
- Proven expertise in designing software architecture, network interfacing, and data pipelines. Familiarity with OT devices would be a plus as we seek to apply best practices across the IoT stack.
- Mastery of Software Architecture, Network Diagrams, Data Flow Diagrams, Interface Protocols, and Linux OS.
- Proficient in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, etc.
- Familiarity with Cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP), Database Management (Oracle, PostgreSQL, InfluxDB, etc.), IoT platforms (e.g., Thingworx, Litmus, etc.), key communication protocols (OPC/UA, MQTT, Kafka, etc.), and Data Science environments (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake, etc.).
- Technical proficiency in Docker, CI/CD/CT Pipeline, C#, Java, Spring Boot, and Vue.js.
