As a Principal Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible to:
- Design and improve power supply/system products within XP standards, ensuring safety and timely delivery.
- Lead project planning, identify critical tasks and provide technical direction to mitigate risk.
- Oversee/conduct tests and experiments to support or confirm designs, with written reports for new designs and failure analysis
- Oversee/review product designs for compliance with engineering principles, company procedures, safety, and other agency requirements
- Oversee/perform product verification & validation test such as electrical performance (thermal, EMC and DVT) to ensure specifications are met.
- Oversee and support the making and debug of breadboard and prototype samples.
- Provide technical support to factory on design and manufacturing related issues (DFM)
- Provide coaching and guidance as subject matter expert.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Over 10 years in power supply electronics design.
- Technical Expertise: Strong AC-DC design experience with topologies like Forward, Flyback, PFC Boost, half bridge with recent experience of designing active clamp forward, fly-forward or flyback /asymmetric half-bridge.
Knowledge of SiC, magnetic design, control loops, and EMI design. - Leadership: Proven ability to provide guidance and direction to the technical teams.
Excellent problem-solving skills and project ownership. - Communication: Clear and effective communicator.
- Additional Skills (Nice to Have): Knowledge of LLC topology, GaN devices, digital control/firmware, low-cost components
