Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the curriculum to enhance students’ proficiency in English (speaking, reading, writing, and listening).
- Customize lesson plans according to the needs and learning styles of individual students.
- Provide constructive feedback and monitor the progress of students, adjusting teaching strategies as needed.
- Prepare students for exams such as PSLE, GCE O/N-Level, and internal school tests/exams.
- Foster a positive and encouraging classroom environment that motivates students to achieve their goals.
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians to update them on student progress and address any concerns.
- Stay updated on the latest teaching methods and educational resources to continuously improve the learning experience.
- Assist in curriculum development, when necessary, to meet the evolving needs of students.
- Offer one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions to reinforce concepts and provide additional support.
Job Requirements:
- A degree in English, Education, or a related field (preferably).
- Previous experience in teaching English or tutoring is an advantage.
- Familiarity with the Singapore school curriculum (MOE syllabus).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Patience, enthusiasm, and a genuine interest in helping students achieve their academic goals.
- Ability to teach students across different age groups, from primary to secondary.
- Able to work on evenings and weekends to accommodate student needs.
- Commitment to at least one academic year to ensure continuity and consistency in student learning.
