Quantity Surveyor (Tender and Procurement)

Responsibilities:


Tender:

  • Assist in tender process and report to tender manager, which includes prepare and analyse bidders’ commercial proposals and etc
  • Provide support in post-contract process on the subcontractor award, prepare subcontract documents
  • Collaborate with consultants, tender teams, commercial teams on tender and procurement process
  • Provide site management with clear and concise tender documentations during project commencement

Procurement:

  • Conduct quantity take-offs, prepare bills of quantities and manage measurement processes
  • Source and procure materials, goods and services from subcontractors and suppliers
  • Negotiate contracts and prices to meet the project budget
  • Prepare and administer subcontract agreements
  • Coordinate with project team to understand requirements and timelines
  • Collaborate with project team and subcontractors to ensure commercial objectives are met
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements and industry standards
  • Maintain good relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure quality and reliability


Requirements:

  • Degree in Building Construction Management / Quantity Surveying or a related field
  • At least 2 to 6 years of experience in a similar position in construction industry
  • Candidate with more experience will be considered for a senior role
  • Experience in handing tendering, cost control and procurement process in the construction industry
  • Familiar with industry-standard software for estimating and procurement (eg. CostX, Cubicost and etc) would be advantageous
  • Highly motivated, self-driven with initiatives to work independently
  • Ability to organize, plan and strategize within the timeline
  • Meticulous, analytical, eye for details and a good team player
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced and dynamic environment
