Your Role and Responsibilities :
As ASEAN Trust & Compliance Officer (ASEAN TCO) you will be part of the Asia Pacific (APAC) & Japan Trust and Compliance Team which consists of trust and compliance team who provide centralized and independent oversight of IBM's ethics and compliance program in ASEAN. You will ensure IBMers understand and comply with internal policies and external regulatory and legal requirements through education and awareness programs, tools and processes and trusted guidance.
Responsibilities include:
- developing & managing integrity plans with different business units.
- developing integrity and other relevant training for employees and third parties.
- identifying & remediating transactions with governments, clients & third parties with a particular focus on anti-corruption due diligence.
- Involvement or knowledge of internal audit and investigation.
- Demonstrated ability to successfully build relationships with senior business leadership to further a culture of integrity and ethics.
- assessing and improving controls, processes, and policies integral to IBM’s compliance posture for example: gifts & amenities, hiring & on-boarding, charitable contributions.
The successful candidate will be expected to
- Prioritize and manage multiple projects.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior business leaders.
- Work collaboratively across various functional areas and cultures.
Required Professional and Technical Expertise :
- Ability to drive complex matters within a multifaceted organisation with direct and indirect sales routes to markets.
- The ability to work autonomously on matters with the requirement for supervision diminishing as the candidate becomes more familiar with IBM’s business.
- Interest in improving processes and procedures to drive improved performance not only for the business by also for the trust & compliance function.
- Excellent oral and written English communication and presentation skills.
- Evidence of a commitment to integrity and ethical conduct.

- A qualified lawyer or other relevant professional background.
