APAC Treasury Specialist – Agri-commodities Trading

Description
This is an international mid-sized agricultural commodities trading group, with extensive marketing & trading presence across Asia Pacific, particularly in Southeast Asia. The team comprise industry veterans from agricultural solutions and food ingredients. Due to internal mobility, there is an exciting opportunity for a Treasury Specialist to lead the Treasury function in APAC (individual contributor role for now).
Role
Reporting to the APAC CFO and Group Treasurer in Head Office, the APAC Treasury specialist lead all treasury and trade finance matters for the Asia entities. He/ She will be operationally hands on with FX management and hedging strategies for the region, working closely with financial institutions to seek the best possible rates. The Treasury specialist will be the go-to person for cash, working capital, liquidity and debt financing matters. He/ She will also work closely with the Commercial team on trade finance, including the approval, utilisation and optimisation of trade finance facilities.
Requirements
The successful candidate must have an excellent degree in finance, business or equivalent, with around 7 to 10 years’ experience in Treasury and trade finance. Those with experience from commodities trading covering Southeast Asia markets will have a distinct advantage. You will be described as technically competent and possess strong working knowledge of treasury management concepts, trade finance and be familiar with banking regulations, FX hedging operation. You will also be described as a self-starter, independent and an effective problem-solver.
