SAP Basis Administration - We are seeking an experienced SAP Basis Administrator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the administration, maintenance, and support of SAP ECC systems. This role requires a strong understanding of SAP landscapes, excellent troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work in a dynamic environment with cross-functional teams.
The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring the stability, performance, and availability of SAP ECC systems to meet business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
System Administration:
- Manage and monitor SAP ECC systems, including system health checks, user administration, and authorization management.
- Perform regular SAP system maintenance tasks such as system refreshes, kernel upgrades, patch management, and transport management.
System Performance and Tuning:
· Monitor system performance, analyze system logs, and perform performance tuning to optimize SAP ECC system performance.
· Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to SAP ECC systems, databases, and underlying infrastructure.
System Support:
· Provide day-to-day technical support and resolve incidents within defined SLAs.
· Collaborate with the team to handle service requests, change requests, and problem management.
· Coordinate with vendors, hardware teams, and other IT departments to resolve complex technical issues.
· Backup and Recovery: Implement and manage SAP ECC backup and recovery strategies, ensuring data integrity and system availability.
· Conduct regular system backups and disaster recovery drills to ensure readiness for any unexpected outages.
System Upgrades and Migrations:
· Participate in system upgrades, migrations, and patch management activities.
· Provide support during SAP projects including system installations, configuration, and go-live support.
Documentation and Reporting:
· Maintain up-to-date documentation for SAP ECC systems, processes, and procedures.
· Generate and analyze system performance reports, providing recommendations for improvements.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Experience:
· 5+ years of experience in SAP Basis administration or support environment.
· Strong experience with SAP ECC systems.
· Experience in managing SAP landscapes in on-premise environments is a plus.
Technical Skills:
· Proficient in SAP Basis administration, including system installation, configuration, and maintenance.
· Deep understanding of SAP ECC architecture and components.
· Strong knowledge of operating systems (Linux, Windows) and databases (Oracle, MSSQL).
· Familiarity with SAP Solution Manager for system monitoring and management.
· Experience with backup and recovery tools and disaster recovery processes.
