Technical Sales Engineer

Job Description


The Technical Sales Engineer plays a key role in Vector Green’s revenue growth by developing new business opportunities, providing technical expertise to new and existing clients, performing full pre-sales cycle and managing client relations.


In this role, you will:

  • Identify sales opportunities, research and develop solutions for solar systems and integrated utility management
  • Search and pursue leads in private and public tenders
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to compile and update all price estimations periodically
  • Collaborate with engineering team, product vendors and service partners to provide comprehensive technical solutioning and product knowledge to clients
  • Prepare and submit quotations, proposals and tenders for prospective clients
  • Negotiate and close sales deals, ensuring profitable business growth
  • Track and report on sales support activities, client feedback and technical issues to management
  • Conduct market research on pricing, delivery lead time and emerging technologies and their applications
  • Undertake any other assignments as may be helpful to increase skills, knowledge and experience in the Technical Sales Engineering role


To perform in this role, you should have

  • At least a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • At least 2 years of experience in renewable energy or similar industry
  • A can-do spirit that takes pride in closing deals
  • Resilience to solve problems and multi-task in a lean structure
  • A Growth and Innovative Mindset
  • Effective communication skills to engage all stakeholders
  • An eye for details

Others:

  • Proficiency in CAD, SketchUp, PV Syst, HelioScope, or similar tools is a bonus
