Qualifications and Job Requirements:
• Degree / Diploma in Engineering or Workplace Safety & Health disciplines
• Registered WSHO, ECO & ECMO
• Proven strong time management, leadership, qualities and interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to communicate, present and influence internal & external stakeholders.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001. GGBS and ConSASS Audit is required
• Candidates with HDB / LTA / JTC / PUB experiences will be preferred.
• At least 3 - 5 years of relevant experience in construction / civil industry preferably 3 years with main contractor.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Responsible for the implementation and monitoring of Workplace Safety & Health and Environmental Management Systems at work sites.
• Conduct regular WSH safety inspections, ensure follow-up actions to ensure safety compliance. Work closely with site operations staff and Project Managers on all Workplace Safety and Health issues.
• Competent to prepare accident reporting and investigations as well as tool box meeting. Coordinate and conduct safety briefing / training for workers.
• To ensure risk assessment and safe working procedure are properly executed on site, revise and enforce when needed.
• Conduct job hazard analysis to determine safe working practices and engineering controls.
• To inform when and where training/certification is required to meet the required standards. Other ad hoc duties as per assigned
• To be responsible for health, safety and environmental control, and to ensure that all works adhere to the procedures and instructions.
• To assist Project Manager to liaise and co-ordinate with stakeholders, authorities and agencies and other Consultants employed by Developer / Client
• To ensure risk assessment and safe working procedure are properly executed on site.
• To carry out investigations into all accidents and near-miss incidents and to record the findings on the relevant forms.
• Conducts job hazard analysis to determine safe working practices and engineering controls
• To highlight areas where training/certification is required to meet the standards imposed by Legislation, Approved Codes of Practice, and Singapore Standard
• Ensure legal compliance to all statutory safety and environmental regulations and timely submission of mandatory documents
