Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated and analytical Junior Commercial Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will support the development and implementation of market strategies by analyzing market trends, competitor activities, and industry dynamics within the LNG sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical background, a keen interest in energy markets, and the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct research on LNG market trends, pricing, demand-supply dynamics, forecasts, and regulatory developments. Analyze market data and reports to identify trends and opportunities.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including operation and finance, to support market-related initiatives and ensure alignment with company goals.
- Support LNG or gas sales agreement term-sheet negotiations by preparing confidentiality agreements; arranging the meetings; developing and maintaining the meeting records and other such tasks needed to support the progress of a negotiation, as directed by the lead negotiator.
- Support the lead negotiator in the preparation of initial review drafts of sales agreements or term sheets as well as follow up the version management and comment tracking of the document through the negotiation process.
- Responsible for the approval documentation and the execution logistics of LNG or gas sales agreements through the authorised signatories (senior management).
- Supports the maintenance of internal controls, tools and procedures such as updating databases; performing controls checks and filing of deal documentation.
- Support the customer relationship management process by contributing to the customer database and meeting records as well as the logistics arrangements for customer visits up to senior management level.
- Performs scoping analyses on customers or market developments as directed by senior marketers
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced studies or certifications in market analysis or energy sectors are a plus.
- Experience: 1-3 years of experience in market/commercial analysis, preferably within the energy or LNG sector. Internships or academic projects related to market analysis are also valuable.
- Skills: Strong analytical and quantitative skills. Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint) and market research software. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge: Understanding of LNG markets, energy economics, and related industry trends. Familiarity with market research methodologies and forecasting techniques.
- Attributes: Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities. Capable of working independently as well as part of a team. Proactive and eager to learn.
- Strong computer skills, including Excel, PowerPoint database tools, etc.
- Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia is essential but not necessary.
