As part of the Global Supply Chain team, your role will include the following,
Responsibilities
- Evaluate planned order and exception reports using Oracle Applications Planners Workbench
- Analyze requirements for supplies, raw materials, and equipment necessary for the operation of production and other internal customers.
- Exerciss a good working knowledge of materials and sources of supply and makes purchases at prices consistent with quality and quantity requirements.
- Issue Purchase Orders for raw materials, equipment and other internal customer requirements and expedites material as planned.
- Coordinate technical issues between suppliers and engineering personnel. Discusses defective or unacceptable goods or services with quality control personnel, users, vendors, and others to determine source of non-conformance and takes appropriate corrective action with supplier.
- Drive and manage ECO implementation, rework, purge & cost impact.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders (e.g. Logistics, Finance) on, receiving, invoices and/or payment issues.
- Maintain procurement records such as items or services purchased, costs, delivery, product quality or performance, and inventories.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in engineering or supplyChain Management with 5 years or more of relevant experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in direct materials purchase with good exposure in supplier and commodity management
- Experience with ERP software required, preferably in Oracle Applications
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications is desirable
- Effective communication skills
- Able to work with different departments/functional groups
