The Branch Product Manager coordinates quotes, negotiates pricing with suppliers and
contract manufacturers, drives and promotes key supplier lines and facilitates product
training for the branch.
Responsibilities :
- Coordinates quotes by working with sales staff, suppliers, and corporate Product department to develop a price for product that offers the largest gross profit margin.
- Provides technical product knowledge to branch employees by sharing information directly with Sales team in the region.
- Drives and promotes key supplier lines by obtaining maximum number of exclusive competitive advantages from suppliers.
- Develops relationships with supplier’s factory representatives to achieve most favored status and avert and solve problems.
- Provides product support by responding with a sense of urgency to issues, while utilizing problem solving skills to help resolve pricing, and inventory management issues.
- Maintains cost database by adding, changing, deleting, cost and ship debit information with accuracy.
Requirements :
- Degree in related field and minimum three years’ experience in related role; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous sales and electronics industry experience is preferred.
- Possesses excellent knowledge of market and vendor analysis and economics of distribution.
- Knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications at the intermediate level.
- Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills, including excellent presentation skills.
- Possesses strong analytical, problem solving and organization skills.
