Responsibilities:
- Leads a team to coordinate with the construction engineering team, especially with multi-discipline site issues with piping, instruments, safety, mechanical disciplines, etc.
- Leads a team to support Process-related construction engineering, site check and updating of as-built P&ID, closing out of process/third party study report.
- Reports to Discipline Manager if involved in bidding exercise, whose job scope includes reviewing FEED, project specs, design philosophy, PFD and P&ID, performing line sizing/ equipment sizing, and estimation of engineering man-hours.
- Review engineering deliverables from detailed engineering consultant/ equipment vendors to ensure they are meeting the Client's specifications
- Coordinates among Detailed Engineering Consultant or Design House, Clients (Normally Oil Majors) Vendors sub-contractors, and third-party specialists
- Monitors, reports and drives engineering progress.
- Conducts or attends P&ID design review HAZOP, SIL, and 3D model reviews.
- Monitors and drives the closing out of punch lists after design review/ HAZOP
- Supports procurement team on technical issues with vendors
- Supports construction team during the construction phase and carries out site checks.
- Supports the commissioning team during plant or sub-system start-up.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent with at least 15 years of relevant working experience in the oil and gas sector (FPSO).
- Direct work experience on FPSO/FSO projects of mega size, and market practices in the oil and gas sector.
