Key Responsibilities:
- Develop sales leads and focus on revenue retention and growth to meet and exceed sales targets.
- Develop and sustain strong relationships with clients by adhering to best practices in client relationship management, providing regular service updates, and effectively addressing and resolving any issues or concerns.
- Carry out any other tasks as reasonably requested by the Management.
- Conduct market research and stay informed on industry trends to support the sales pipeline.
- Perform cold-calling and other prospecting activities to generate new business.
- Negotiate agreements within defined commercial and operational parameters and prepare contracts.
- Prepare and analyse sales reports to support departmental objectives.
- Implement multi-modal sales outreach programs, including direct mailers, social media campaigns, and web content.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment of commercial strategies with operational goals.
- Provide insights and recommendations to the Head of Sales based on market data and sales performance.
Requirements:
- Degree or Diploma in Marine Studies, Business, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Proven sales experience in the marine industry, particularly with high-volume, multi-transactional services.
- Self-motivated and capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical skills to identify trends and sales patterns.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
- Knowledge of port operations or ocean-going towages, with prior experience in the tug industry would be an added advantage.
