The Opportunity:

Adecco is partnering with a well-established manufacturing business with operations in Southeast Asia, and we are seeking a talented individual to join their business as a Purchasing & Logistics Assistant Manager! The successful incumbent will possess strong leadership skills to lead a team of 5 to manage the sourcing, purchasing, and logistics activities.

  • Permanent opportunity
  • Portfolio: Direct and indirect procurement
  • Work days/hours: Mon - Fri, 9am - 6 pm
  • Work location: Far West Region
  • Basic salary up to $6,000/month + AWS + VB

The Job:

  • Cultivate strong relationships with stakeholders across various functions and business units.
  • Identify and prioritize opportunities for total cost savings and execute plans to achieve savings.
  • Actively manage supplier relationships to meet cost, cash flow, quality, and service level goals.
  • Oversee the investment selection process, lead negotiations, manage key supplier contracts, and ensure contract compliance.
  • Enhance supplier performance and conduct quality audits.
  • Ensure contract compliance regarding payment terms, pricing, discounts, and rebates.
  • Drive programs to find cost-saving opportunities, new products, and suppliers that align with business strategy.
  • Review supply requirements, manage stock levels, and monitor market trends for raw materials.
  • Develop and manage the purchasing-to-pay process and supplier management tools.
  • Analyze and improve internal purchasing processes, set performance objectives, and document best practices.
  • Coordinate with Finance/Management on financial processes related to investment and purchasing.
  • Ensure adherence to internal policies and procedures.

The Talent:

  • Minimally 4 years of relevant experience in the manufacturing industry coupled with a strong background in purchasing and logistics
  • Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with various levels of stakeholders
  • Demonstrates strong teamwork and collaboration skills, and proactively takes initiative
  • Strong leadership skills; prior experience in leading a team of 2-4 subordinates is a must
