Job Description
- Manage and optimize sourcing performance within the region.
- Coordinate sourcing activities and interact with regional finance.
- Align priorities with regional operations and S&OP leaders to ensure supply base capacity meets production requirements.
- Oversee all cost-related matters within the assigned region.
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies to ensure supply, optimize costs, minimize risk, and support new product development.
- Approve and manage supplier relationships for the region.
- Ensure accuracy in the purchase price variance forecast and produce monthly PPV root cause and countermeasure reports.
- Maintain material pricing in ERP systems for the respective region.
The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering or Science (MBA preferred).
- Minimum 10-15 years of progressive experience in procurement and supply chain management.
- Experience sourcing/ procuring semi-finished goods for general industrial products and have multi mullion dollar annual spend expertise
- Prior sourcing experience from suppliers in the region e.g. Thailand, India, Malaysia, Indonesia, Japan and Korea
- High level interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to establish business partnerships to influence and coach across multiple levels within the company.
- Demonstrated global business acumen and strategic thinking.
- Proven ability to take initiative, identify opportunities, and make calculated decisions.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Experience in a manufacturing or automotive environment is essential.
- Willingness to travel up to 30% across APAC
