Job Scope:
- To provide effective Physiotherapy assessment and treatment for clients in the different care settings
- To establish rehabilitation needs, potential, and therapy goals to optimize clients’ function
- To provide clients and caregivers with education and training in self-management, with the emphasis on the importance of client-centered care and effective communication
- To lead and/or participate actively in Client Review meetings with other team members
- To recommend discharge and continuity of care plans that address clients’ physical health, psychological, social and emotional aspect in consultation with relevant stakeholders
- To facilitate community integration through collaboration with community partners when required
- To keep abreast with advances in the profession and to contribute to the development of the department
- To lead or/and participate in research and quality improvement projects
- To provide training and mentorship to therapists, support staffs, students by having regular communication and case discussion
- To plan and deliver training to volunteers
- To conduct regular review on therapist’s clinical competency and provide constructive feedback
- To mentor therapists and support staffs on-going professional development and opportunities for courses, workshops, seminars that enhance their knowledge and skills
- Conduct staff appraisals and staff development plan
- Manage minor staff conflicts or disciplinary issues
