Sales Executive (Industrial)

Sgs Testing & Control Services Singapore Pte Ltd

Responsible for managing sales activities, developing and implementing sales strategies, building and maintaining customer relationships, and achieving sales targets.

Job responsibilities:

  • Promote and sell services.
    - Meet targeted sales revenue.
    - Expand market share.
  • Draw prospect list and develop new clients.
  • Grow and retain key clients.
  • Develop new services/products and concepts for the assigned market segment.
  • Translate business strategy into pragmatic action plans and execute.
  • Maintain awareness and understanding of all SGS services, ensuring that full range of SGS services are presented to new and existing clients to maximize sales opportunities.
  • Promote the image, capability, and integrity of the company to the clients.Ensure timely creation of quotes and professional submission of all information as requested by clients, ensure follow-up.
  • Negotiate and secure contracts.
  • Manage pre and post contract commercial issues.
  • Support for collection of payment from clients.Analyze market potential and develop competitive positioning and pricing strategies.
  • Track competitor activities.
  • Monitor market for the development of new technologies and trends.
  • Source and coordinate with SGS affiliates and/or subcontractors for subcontract engagements.
  • Operate to the highest standards of ethics, in accordance with the SGS Code of Integrity
  • Any other duties as assigned from time to time.

Requirements:

  • Degree or Diploma in Industrial / Technical-related field (previous experience as Inspectors would be advantageous).
  • 2 to 3 years sales experience in technical field.
  • Technical knowledge of Industrial Inspections or Non-Destructive Testing.
  • Able to work independently and multi-task.
  • Good business acumen and results orientated.
  • Able to interact with all levels of management.
  • Good communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Acts quickly and decisively.
  • Works well under pressure, challenges status quo.
  • Communicate effectively in English, both written and oral
  • Team player and have service-oriented mindset.
