Contract Duration: 3 Months
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM
o Objective Setting: Assist in defining the objectives to accurately catalog all network devices, including routers, switches, load balancers, firewalls, and appliances across all RWS locations.
o Scope Definition: Ensure that the scope of work includes all network devices across various locations such as the main office, data centers, and campus.
o Team Assembly: Work with RWS IT to form a team comprising RWS IT and Vendor IT staff. The team leader will be from RWS IT, and the vendor IT staff will be responsible for physical inspections and data recording.
o Roles and Responsibilities: Follow assigned tasks including physical inspection, data recording, and reconciliation.
o Tool and Resource Preparation: Use provided documentation, including existing inventory records and network diagrams, and location maps for accurate inspection.
o Physical Inspection and Data Collection: Conduct on-site inspections of network devices, recording details such as device type, model, serial number, and physical location (e.g., rack number, room).
o Asset Tagging: Implement asset tagging for all network devices as part of the inventory process.
o Verification and Cross-Checking: Compare collected data with existing inventory records and network diagrams. Perform spot checks to ensure accuracy and consistency.
