The Managing Director holds a leadership role to manage all retail sales and business operations, including new market development in Singapore. The Managing Director will report to the Board of Directors.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Organize and take responsibility for the effective operations of stores and entities in Singapore.
- Develop, direct, review and control the overall business plans and strategies, policies and programmes of the organization within established corporate and business guidelines.Establish and maintain strong relations with both internal and external stakeholders to maximize revenue and profit potential while at the same time formulate and implement strategies to achieve growth objectives.
- Advise Japan HQ on strategic issues and presents organization’s business and performance to the board.
- Motivate and provide leadership to management team.
- Lead and enhance internal control and governance.
Requirements
- Degree in Business or its equivalent.
- Business level Japanese (written and spoken) to liaise with Japan HQ.
- Currently holding a senior position or equivalent in a large retail organization.
- Minimum 25 years of experience in retail operations (sales, merchandising, planning and administration) and a proven track record in retail industry.
- Global working experience in related industry.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent organizational abilities.
