Objectives of the position:

LOS & Data Analyst plays a critical role in driving continuous improvement, operational efficiency, and waste reduction across APAC and serves as the in-house expert for deriving actionable insights from Operations and Product management data, aligning with Lean principles to drive operational efficiency and support business decision-making. The analyst understands Operations and Product management data, requirements, gathers and consolidates data across APAC region, and distills this information into concise, actionable insights that can be effectively communicated to management and other stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by embedding Lean principles and practices across APAC.
  • Identify and eliminate non-value-added activities across the supply chain, production, and product management processes to minimize waste.
  • Design, implement, and oversee Lean projects to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize processes.
  • Track the progress of Lean initiatives, report on outcomes to senior management, and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Conduct training sessions and workshops on Lean principles and tools, and mentor teams to ensure effective application.
  • Work closely with operations, supply chain and product management in APAC to implement Lean strategies and achieve set goals.
  • Develop clear, compelling visualizations to effectively communicate complex data insights to both internal and external stakeholders, facilitating informed decision-making.
  • Create and manage dashboards that provide real-time visibility into key performance indicators (KPIs) across operations, logistics, product management, and purchasing teams.
  • Aggregate and interpret data from various sources to discover trends and patterns, focusing on process optimization and waste reduction in line with Lean methodologies.
  • Provide detailed analysis and insights that support strategic and operational decisions, ensuring alignment with Lean goals and business objectives.
  • Establish KPIs to measure the success of Lean initiatives and ensure they align with business objectives.

Skills & Qualification

  • Deep understanding of Lean principles, Six Sigma, Kaizen, 5S, Value Stream Mapping, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Understanding of supply chain management, and product management principles and how they intersect with Lean practices.
  • Proven track record of successfully implementing Lean practices in various operational settings.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage Lean projects from initiation through completion.
  • Experience in managing change and driving organizational culture shifts towards continuous improvement.
  • Experience in planning, executing, and monitoring projects, including resource allocation and risk management.
  • Ability to think critically and creatively to solve complex problems and optimize processes.
  • Strong focus on detail to ensure accuracy in data analysis and process improvements.
  • Ability to present data insights clearly and persuasively to various stakeholders, including senior management and external partners.
  • Experience with statistical methods such as regression analysis, hypothesis testing, and time-series analysis.
  • Ability to analyze financial data and understand the financial impact of Lean initiatives on cost savings and ROI.
  • Proficiency in visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or QlikView for creating impactful dashboards and reports.
  • Proficiency in Python and/or R for performing statistical analysis, creating predictive models, and managing large datasets.
  • A bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, product design, operations management, or a closely related to data science.
  • Certifications (Preferred): Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification is preferred.
