Singapore Squash Rackets Association (SSRA) is the National Sports Association (NSA) for the sport of Squash in Singapore. We are governed by Sport Singapore (SportSG) and is a member of the Singapore National Olympic Council (SNOC), South East Asian Squash Federation (SEASF), Asian Squash Federation (ASF) and World Squash Federation (WSF).

SSRA was formed in 1970 and we are an Institute of Public Character (IPC) charity organisation. SSRA aims to promote, support and advance the sport of Squash in Singapore through our core values of Integrity, Teamwork and Diversity.


Events Executive / Senior Executive

The Events Executive/Senior Executive will play a crucial role in managing the organisation's administration, programmes, and events. This position is vital for ensuring operational excellence and supporting the SSRA Board in advancing Singapore Squash and enhancing the organisation's presence locally and regionally.


Roles and Responsibilities


PRIMARY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan and execute squash tournaments and events following SSRA guidelines and operational procedures. Events may occur during evenings and weekends, and presence at all tournaments and events is mandatory.
  • Oversee all aspects of event operations, including pre-event preparation, onsite execution, and post-event closing.
  • Develop event plans and timelines, ensuring smooth event delivery.
  • Develop and manage social media campaigns tailored to each event, ensuring effective promotion and engagement.
  • Prepare and monitor event budgets, tracking expenses and adherence to budgetary constraints.
  • Procure necessary facilities, services, equipment, and collaterals in accordance with SSRA procurement guidelines, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of goods and services.
  • Manage vendor relationships and oversee logistics to ensure all deliverables are met.
  • Coordinate with the Finance Manager on event registrations, vendor payments, claims, and other event-related financial matters to ensure timely processing and payment, and accurate financial reporting.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for internal communications, ensuring smooth coordination with team members involved in event planning and execution.
  • Proactively address any issues that arise during event setup and execution, ensuring smooth operations.
  • Accomplish post-event reports, including performance metrics and, and assist with financial claims and documentation.
  • Manage all event-related social media activities.

SUPPORTING ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Liaise with internal and external parties as necessary for administration and office management.
  • Provide input to the team, conceptualising and implementing strategies to broaden the reach of squash activities in Singapore through grassroots engagement programmes.
  • Other duties commensurate with the level of the post shall be further determined by the SSRA, where applicable.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum Diploma, preferably in Sports Management, Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Physical Education or related discipline.
  • At least one year of relevant experience, preferably within the sports industry (eg. National Sports Associations or recreation/school clubs).
  • Personal experience or interest in the sport of Squash would be an advantage.
  • Proven track record in managing issues, with experience in events and project management.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with a demonstrated capacity to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Conversant with social media platforms, with a passion for keeping abreast of related trends.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint); desktop publishing tools such as Adobe, Canva will be an added advantage.
  • Possess resourcefulness and acute analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Meticulous, and understands the importance of excellent organisation skills.
  • Enjoy a strong and active interest in sports.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines with a positive attitude.

Remuneration will commensurate with the relevant experience.
