You will be part of the team supporting key reporting work responsibilities that manage the insurance funds’ assets:
Responsibilities
- Preparations/review of reports, portfolio-related activities and movements to meet financial accounting and regulatory requirements
- Responsible for the timely and accurate preparation of various financial and regulatory reports
- Perform relevant financial month-end closing, reconciliations, controls and procedures to ensure accuracy and timely completion of reporting and operational tasks
- Work closely with service providers (custodian, external fund managers) to ensure smooth delivery of requirements, address and resolve issues
- Ensure adherence to controls, compliance with relevant policies and procedures
- Support investment-related reporting which includes factsheet and financial reporting
- Assist in report preparations required for review and statutory audits and address queries
- Liaise with relevant internal/external stakeholders to address their queries and participate in Initiatives involving the investment portfolio, controls, risk management, statutory and regulatory changes impacting BAU processes
- Recommend and implement procedural changes/process improvement opportunities to streamline the process, enhance the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of the reporting process
- Research and execute implementation of new and revised regulatory reporting requirements
- Participate in projects or ad-hoc tasks as allocated.
Requirements
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
- Experience in financial reporting, fund accounting, or investment reporting, preferably within the insurance or financial services industry.
- Familiarity with financial month-end closings, reconciliations, and regulatory reporting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in preparing financial and regulatory reports.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of insurance funds, investment portfolios, and relevant financial accounting and regulatory requirements.
- Understanding of financial controls, compliance, and risk management practices.
- Proactive and able to recommend and implement process improvements.
