This role is based in Tuas, Singapore.
Job Duties:
- Perform mechanical test such as Bend, Tensile, Impact, Compression, and etc
- Assist in metallurgical sample preparation such as macro, micro, hardness, and supervising allocated staff and being responsible for the day to day management of the relevant discipline
- Interpretation of internal and client requirements and performing general duties in accordance with Element's internal procedures, quality as well as Health and Safety system
- Operating complex mechanical testing equipment,maintaining accurate and systematic records and performing other duties to fulfil the demands of the laboratory
- Application of instrumentation and the setting up of complex data capture equipment and report writing, data interpretation and analysis
Job Requirements:
- Minimum Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or another relevant materials related discipline
- Experience of working within a Mechanical testing environment is advantageous
- An understanding of a recognised Quality Management Systems such as ISO 17025 is beneficial
- Self motivated Technician with the ability to multi task, organise and work under the pressure of a busy commercial mechanical test laboratory
- A team player attitude, possess excellent analytical and problem solving skills
