We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated NPI Engineer to join our dynamic team. The NPI Engineer will be responsible for managing the introduction of new products from the concept phase through to production. This role requires a strong background in engineering, project management, and manufacturing processes to ensure new products are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the New Product Introduction process from concept through to production.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including design, engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance to ensure seamless product launches.
- Develop and manage project timelines, budgets, and resource plans to meet product launch targets.
- Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments to identify potential issues and develop mitigation strategies.
- Coordinate prototype development and testing, ensuring all performance and quality standards are met.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure the timely delivery of materials and components.
- Implement and oversee pilot production runs, providing feedback to design and manufacturing teams for continuous improvement.
- Analyze production data and performance metrics to drive improvements in product design and manufacturing processes.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management on project status, risks, and opportunities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field) with 3-5 years of experience in product development, manufacturing, or related engineering roles.
- Proven track record in managing and executing New Product Introduction projects.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and materials.
- Knowledge of quality control methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing).
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and experience using project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira).
- Experience with cross-functional team collaboration.
- High level of attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing business needs.
- Fluent in English & Mandarin (for the purpose of liaising with Mandarin speaking suppliers).
- Availability to travel for business.
