As a Technical Program Manager, you will be developing award-winning products for consumers worldwide, ensuring they are designed, produced, and delivered at the best quality standard. This role requires strong program management skills to lead projects from design to full-scale production, working alongside various stakeholders in evaluating technical solutions and enhancing our manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the entire project lifecycle from design and development to full-scale production.
- Develop and deliver customized manufacturing solutions. This includes (but not limited to) identifying, sourcing, and assessing technological solutions for each processes need.
- Driving Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Excellence (DFX) to ensure consistent product quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Collaborate with the Design team to ensure manufacturing feasibility, providing inputs for design improvements, process selection, and best practices.
- Utilize mechanical and process engineering principles and interpret mechanical drawing controls and tolerances.
- Perform detailed mechanical design and analysis, considering safety, reliability, maintenance, and performance standards.
- Evaluate risks and opportunities, converting them into project benefits related to time, cost, and quality.
- Working closely with cross-functional teams to meet project and business goals, keeping stakeholders updated regularly.
- Ensure the completion of all project deliverables in the manufacturing engineering phase prior to milestone reviews.
- Stay updated with industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in factory automation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in technical project management or a similar role.
- Proven track record of managing complex projects and delivering on time.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Proficient in project management tools and software.
- Experience with DFMEA, tooling review, and electrical review.
- Knowledge of plastic, foam, and sheet metal tooling processes.
- Ability to review and propose improvements based on Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles, specifically for plastic, foam, and cast metal tooling.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Fluent in English & Mandarin (for the purpose of liaising with Mandarin speaking suppliers)
- Availability to travel for business
