Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Sales Bunker Trader to join our dynamic trading team. This entry-level position is ideal for candidates looking to develop their career in the marine fuel industry. The successful candidate will assist in managing customer relationships, supporting trade execution, and conducting market research.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer and Supplier Relationship Management:Assist in building and maintaining strong relationships with existing and prospective clients / suppliers.
Respond to customer / supplier inquiries and provide information on products, pricing, and delivery options.
- Market Research & Analysis:Conduct market research to identify trends, pricing fluctuations, and competitor activity.
Monitor global shipping and fuel market developments to inform trading strategies.
- Trade Execution Support:Assist senior traders in executing bunker sales transactions, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
Prepare and process sales orders, contracts, and invoices.
- Reporting & Documentation:Maintain accurate records of trades and customer interactions in the trading system.
Generate reports on sales activities, market conditions, and inventory levels as needed.
- Collaboration:Work closely with logistics, operations, and finance teams to ensure smooth delivery and billing processes.
Participate in team meetings and contribute to strategy discussions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools.
- Basic understanding of the marine fuel market is a plus, but not required.
