Roles & Responsibilities
- Analyze potential savings for newly awarded projects to optimize profit.
- Monitor, analyze, and compile site completion reports post-project completion to enhance budgeting strategies.
- Obtain and update pricing database with quotations and market rates for all trades to maintain reasonable Requisition of Purchase Order (RPO) and future budget rates.
- Generate charts/graphs on pricing trends to forecast market changes and pricing fluctuations.
- Negotiate with subcontractors/suppliers to secure competitive project pricing and explore bulk or package award options.
- Review quotation terms and conditions for RPO alignment and to prevent hidden or additional costs.
- Compare site RPOs and scrutinize quotation exclusions to avoid unforeseen expenses.
- Monitor site PO requisitions and advise on urgent or outstanding awards to prevent project delays.
- Track and update site expenses, ensuring adherence to budget constraints.
- Conduct quarterly site discussions with Project Manager and Quantity Surveyor to review budget status and plan future expenses.
- Source new contractors for pricing comparisons and verify company track records for reliability.
- Provide feedback to Cost Planning Department on latest pricing trends for accurate tender pricing.
- Compile and verify monthly cost reports against projections, documenting cost differences with explanations.
- Forecast additional costs based on project-specific requirements.
- Monitor site expenses across all trades and track project Variation Order (VO) lists, including expected profit computation.
