We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our dynamic team at Special Learners. The ideal candidate will work closely with children with diverse developmental needs, primarily focusing on early intervention strategies. You will design and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) to support the unique learning needs of each child, helping them develop functional, social, cognitive, and academic skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute individualized education plans (IEPs) for children with special needs
  • Provide targeted instruction in areas such as language development, motor skills, social interaction, and adaptive behavior
  • Implement evidence-based teaching strategies and behavior management techniques
  • Collaborate with occupational therapists, speech therapists, and other professionals to ensure holistic support
  • Engage parents and caregivers in the learning process by providing regular updates and strategies for home
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment that fosters growth and confidence
  • Monitor and assess the progress of each child, adjusting teaching methods as necessary
  • Participate in team meetings, training, and workshops to stay current with best practices in special education

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Special Education, Early Childhood Education, or a related field
  • Experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other developmental disabilities preferred
  • Strong knowledge of early intervention strategies, sensory integration, and behavior modification techniques
  • Ability to create and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with families and multidisciplinary teams
  • Patience, creativity, and a strong commitment to supporting each child’s unique learning journey

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in special education or early intervention settings is a plus,
  • Fresh graduates are welcome
  • Familiarity with sensory integration and behavior management techniques
  • Fluency in English; proficiency in other languages is a plus
