As an Associate Director, Debt Capital Markets, you will focus on raising debt and expanding the company's debt and debt capital market initiatives, including securitization, debt raising, and management of existing debt facilities. You will work closely with investor teams to drive debt-raising activities across different currencies and segments, including financial institutions, institutional investors and high-net-worth fundraising clients.
Responsibilities:
- Debt Raising & Investor Relations: Lead the identification and engagement of multinational banks, investment funds, impact investors, Accredited Investors (AIs), High Net Worth Individuals (HNWI), and Family Offices (FO). Build and maintain strong relationships, develop fundraising materials, manage due diligence requests, and ensure continuous engagement with existing and prospective investors.
- Strategic Project Execution: Drive strategic initiatives such as debt raising strategy and processes, syndication, securitization, and capital market projects. Collaborate with the Corp Dev, CFO and CEO on pitch deck creation, financial analysis, and modelling.
- Capital Instrument Negotiation & Financial Management: Negotiate terms for capital instruments such as debt, bonds, and other financing products. Partner the Treasurer in managing liquidity, asset-liability management (ALM), financial covenants, and overall balance sheet management.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Advisory: Act as the primary face of the company to key debt capital market participants, providing strategic advice and differentiated investment solutions. Manage relationships with lenders, bankers, investors, credit rating agencies, trustees, and legal advisors.
Requirements:
- You are commercial determined
- You bring in 8-10 years’ relevant experience in the (commercial) capital markets or treasury field, ideally in a financial institution
- Track record of raising debt from FIs/Banks
- You have a well-developed understanding of: debt, bonds, derivatives, hedging, multi-currency, forex and international funds flows, in particular the Asia Pacific jurisdiction and cross border regulations relating to payment and collections as well as lending
- You understand the foundations of tax, legal, accounting, treasury control and treasury IT
- You have at least a bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting, a post graduate or MBA will be a plus
