Contract Period: From 1 Jan 2025 to 31 Dec 2025.
Option to Extend: The Contractor grants the Authority the option to extend the Contract for a further period of 01 Jan 2026 to 31 Dec 2026.
Personnel to be deployed at the following hours:
- Mondays to Thursdays: 7:30am to 4:30pm, inclusive of ½ hour lunch break
- Fridays: 7:30am to 1:30pm (no lunch break)
- Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public Holidays
The Services required are set out as follows:
- Be in the Teacher’s Preparation Room and food laboratories during working hours
- Ordering of food ingredients before lesson
- Preparation of ingredients before lessons, ensuring food is prepared and handled safely
- Maintaining cleanliness of utensils, equipment and food laboratories Areas
- Handling inventory and stock taking of resources e.g. books, utensils and equipment.
- Assisting the teacher during practical session e.g. ensuring that students observe safety rules, guiding students in preparation skills
- Administration – Checking and filing of invoices and keeping track of the cost of the ingredients
- Any other duties relating to the food laboratories assigned by NFS teachers, HOD/Craft and Technology and the School leaders.
The Personnel shall minimally have the following qualifications, skills and experience:
- Minimum qualification of Primary 6
- Able to converse and write in English
- Basic mathematical skills e.g. able to calculate the amount of ingredients based on a given recipe for seven classes
- Good knowledge on food ingredients and food preparation.
- Preferably to have attained the Basic Food Hygiene Course
- Must have at least 1 year experience working on food preparation in a commercial/school or training kitchen
- Previous working experience in a school-kitchen will be an added advantage
