About the Role:
The role aims to support to provide oversight and advice to all Health and Safety (H&S) activities in the Ferrero Asia Pacific Region (business units, warehouses, commercial, R&D and retail) in relation to H&S matters. The position supports driving the regional customization and implementation of Group H&S policies, procedures and initiatives, verifying their implementation, as well as helps in cascading of all H&S related information in the Region.
Main Responsibilities:
- Contribute to and ensure implementation of H&S Regional Strategic Plan in alignment with Group
- Ensure health and safety risks are identified, evaluated and mitigated
- Support execution of H&S objectives at the regional level in accordance with Ferrero Group (Group) guidelines and involving key stakeholders
- Work with all stakeholders to maintain full compliance with regulatory and Group requirements, including preparation and filing of required documentation
- Ensure H&S incidents are investigated as per Group guidance to determine root causes and to define actions
- Maintain and regularly update overview of H&S regulations (legal register) applicable in the Region
- Monitor and verify adherence to work safety standards and procedures, as well as implementation of all corrective actions identified during audits, inspections, risk assessments, others
- Manage regular reporting on metrics, status, issues, incidents to Region H&S and other relevant stakeholders
- Support H&S in conducting, training and review of risk assessments on a regular basis on commercial sites
- Verify that emergency response plans are in place for each location in the Region and are effective
- Monitor implementation of agreed mitigation activities and report on implementation status
- Develop and deploy regional H&S policies, procedures, programs and initiatives in line with Group policies and procedures, monitor adherence to H&S them
- Coordinate and support regional roll out of H&S projects and programs
- Raise awareness across all levels of the regional organization on the importance of H&S, train and coach employees and managers in H&S topics with the aim to build a reliable safety culture
- Maintain relations with related public authorities and collaborate with externals during inspections and visits
- Maintain legal compliance, support any legal reporting requirements
- Ensure related licenses, notification, reporting requirements are met and related documents are maintained
- Support implementation of group well-being initiatives in the region
- Manages and cooperate with external and medical staff on analysis of problems and medical surveillance planning concerning accidents, work environment and ergonomics
Who we are looking for:
- University degree in a relevant field, professional certifications required
- Relevant Health & Safety management experience in FMCG, commercial H&S experience and regional experience required
- Strong knowledge of the applicable laws, respective regulations and requirements
- Strong accountability and problem-solving skills, result orientation
- Good planning and control capability, lateral thinking
- Ability to work across teams and manage multiple stakeholders in an effective way, good team collaboration
- Adaptiveness and flexibility, good time and self-management skills
- Advanced MS Office, SAP is considered a strong plus
- Fluent English, written and spoken; any Asian language is considered a plus
