Project Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and creative Research Engineer to contribute to cutting-edge research and development in the field of soft robotics, with a focus on the design, fabrication, and control of soft robotic manipulators for complex tasks. The successful candidate will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to develop innovative robotic systems, control algorithms, and sensory feedback mechanisms. This is a unique opportunity to participate in both fundamental and applied research, as well as collaborative projects with industry partners.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the design, fabrication, and testing of soft robotic manipulators aimed at solving complex manipulation tasks.
- Develop and implement novel control strategies, algorithms, and sensory feedback systems to enhance the precision and adaptability of soft robotics.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical, electrical, and software components into functional robotic systems.
- Conduct experimental validation, performance testing, and iterative improvements of developed prototypes.
- Support applied projects in collaboration with industrial partners and contribute to technology transfer efforts.
- Present research findings at international workshops, conferences, and internal project meetings.
- Contribute to the preparation of technical reports and assist in writing articles for publication in top-tier journals and conferences.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in mechanical engineering, robotics, computer science, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience in robotics, soft robotics, or interactive systems.
- Proficiency in CAD software, prototyping, and mechatronics.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and creativity.
- Experience with control algorithms, sensory feedback systems, and robotic manipulation is an advantage.
