Responsibilities:
- Overseeing finance and accounting activities and reviewing works done by the finance team
- Assist the Managing Director in developing finance resources and capabilities
- Partner and support the Managing Director in his dealings with the Board and management on matters relating to finance
- Direct monthly and yearly accounting closing and prepare financial reporting based on Singapore Accounting Standards
- Producing financial reports related to budgets, account payables, account receivables, expenses etc.
- Liaising with external auditors, tax agents and banks
- Drive process improvements of current internal control to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations.
- Monitor budget execution, providing regular updates and variance analysis to stakeholders
- Implement best practices in financial governance, controls, and reporting
- Creating Oracle NetSuite Standard Operating Procedures and system implementation
- Liaising with third party vendor for Oracle NetSuite support
- Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
- Assist with parts creation and stock reallocation as and when required
- Issuance of invoice and credit notes as and when required
- Assist in ad-hoc duties when required by Managing Director
Requirements:
- Minimum Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Accountancy or Finance
- Diligent with initiative and a team player
- Meticulous and comfortable working with numbers
- Able to multitask and perform ad-hoc duties
- A keen eye for detail and desire to probe further into data
- Ability to stick to time constraints
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications and Oracle Netsuite system
- Minimum 10 years relevant experience in similar industry
- CPA qualification is an added advantage
- Ability to communicate (reading, written and verbal) fluently in Japanese is mandatory as this position is required to communicate frequently with various stakeholders within our Japan Headquarters who are not able to communicate in English.
